Sensor History Calculator
Find out how long STICKER keeps its sensor history. Tick the channels you record and set the report interval: the record size, the number of records the buffer holds and the time they cover update live. The calculation follows the flash layout of STICKER firmware v1.4.0 and runs entirely in your browser.
s (15 min)
- Record size
- 3 B
- Records per page
- 588
- Capacity
- 9,408 records
- Time covered
- 98 days (14 weeks, 3.2 months)
- Mask
3(0x0003)
Once the buffer is full, STICKER erases its oldest page (588 records) in one step to make room, so the stored history then spans 91.9–98 days.
Shell commands
config history-enable true
config history-sensors 3
config interval-report 900
settings saveChannel sizes and the flash layout follow STICKER firmware v1.4.0.
Good to know
- Changing the channels or the interval starts a new history. When
history-sensorsorinterval-reportchanges, STICKER drops the stored records and starts over, because they no longer match the new record layout or timing. Read the history out before you change either setting. - Old records are dropped a page at a time. The buffer is split into 16 pages. Once it is full, STICKER erases the oldest page to make room for new records, so right after that the stored history is a sixteenth shorter. Plan with 15/16 of the time covered when you need a guaranteed window.
- Missing sensors take no space. The firmware drops channels for sensors the device doesn't have from the mask, so they don't count toward the record size.
To turn recording on, read the history out or replay it over LoRaWAN, see Sensor History.
